Project Spotlight: Hotel Ava Parking Lot Lighting

Location: Paso Robles, California
Ragni Product: Urbane
Project Type: Parking Lot Lighting for New Construction
Completion: Opened August 2025

Hotel Ava in downtown Paso Robles, California represents a redefined entry point to the city’s hospitality landscape. Opening in August 2025, this new construction was developed with a design vision shaped by community input and aligned with city standards, while also maintaining a strong focus on sustainability. A key element of the exterior design was a thoughtful lighting solution for the hotel’s parking area that supports safety, comfort, and long-term performance.

Lighting Designed for Safety and Sustainability

Groupe Ragni North America was selected to provide Urbane lighting for the parking lot at Hotel Ava. Our Urbane fixtures were chosen for their balance of visual comfort, performance, and energy efficiency — qualities that aligned with the project’s sustainability goals and the city’s design standards. The lighting design provides clear illumination across the parking area to support both guests and staff throughout day and night.

The Urbane luminaires improve visibility and wayfinding, creating a sense of security and ease of movement for users arriving at or departing from the hotel. At the same time, the fixtures were specified to minimize light spill and maintain a refined exterior aesthetic that complements the surrounding context of downtown Paso Robles.

Supporting Community-Driven Design

A defining feature of the Hotel Ava project was its collaboration with local stakeholders. Residents participated in design conversations, ultimately agreeing on a vision that reflected the character of the community and met city planning standards. Lighting was an important part of this process, as it needed to both enhance the user experience and support sustainability objectives.

Groupe Ragni North America’s Urbane lighting solution helped achieve these goals by delivering reliable performance, reduced energy usage, and an appearance that resonates with the project’s architectural direction. The completed installation supports a functional and welcoming environment that aligns with the community’s expectations and the city’s planning principles.

A Welcoming Arrival

With Hotel Ava now open and fully operational, the parking lot lighting plays an essential role in shaping first impressions and everyday functionality. The Urbane fixtures deliver consistent, well-distributed illumination that enhances safety and comfort for visitors, while strengthening the overall design narrative of the downtown redevelopment.

Groupe Ragni North America’s contribution to the Hotel Ava project underscores our ability to provide lighting solutions that balance performance, sustainability, and community-driven design.
